Blog participants are also welcome to elaborate on their reasons if they so desire.<?xml:namespace prefix = o /><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Symbol;">·</span><span style="font-size:0;"> </span>The motive for this initiative is to provide a forum for discussion. The proposal to hold the conference in <st1:country-region st="on">China</st1:country-region> raised important issues at the ICLA General Assembly in <st1:place st="on">Krakow</st1:place> in July, and these issues deserve further deliberation. The ICLA Board has asked the two Chinese contingents to work on a revised joint proposal, and has also received an alternative proposal for a venue for 2011. Since the Board will be deliberating on these proposals later in the fall, it is important to have some sense of how the larger community of ICLA members and conference participants view the relevant issues.</p><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/998172841004763530-7283118629757829861?l=iclc2011.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Laura A.
